I'm on the trivago magazine today, sharing eight of my favorite weekend getaways in Washington. Writing this post made me realize afresh how lucky I am to live in this state! Here in Washington, it’s easy to find beautiful nature, amazing food, and something fun to do, whether you’re craving outdoor adventure or indoors relaxation. The landscape is incredibly diverse and magnificent, which means there’s quite a variety of places to visit within the state. We’re blessed with idyllic islands, evergreen forests, rugged mountains, pebbly beaches, wine country, twisting rivers, and much more. Check out the full article here, and let me know...have you been to any of these destinations? Do you agree with my list, or is there a must-see Washington spot that I missed?
P.S. We just hit our one year anniversary of living in Spokane (well, one year since moving back for me)...so I'm also working on a more in-depth Spokane city guide that I will share soon!

Thanks to Little Goodall for partnering with me on this post! All opinions are my own.
Today's post gives me ALL the heart eyes. If you haven't heard of Little Goodall, they make the sweetest coats, hats, and clothing for little ones. I recently scooped up this adorable bunny coat for Ian. From the front, it looks like a classic camel-colored pea coat...but on the hood there are these long, floppy bunny ears that make it extra fun! This coat is incredibly well made, hand-sewn from soft wool felt, and I love the pop of blue when you roll back the sleeves.
The cutest little snow bunny I ever did see...I'm SO ready for it to be spring, but Ian is still loving the snow.
Little Goodall has quite the selection of bunny coats (and other animal coats) for good reason--that's how the shop got started! Molly was frustrated when her two year old son refused to wear the hoods on his coats, so she got creative and sewed him a lion coat to make wearing it fun. Friends commented, orders were placed, and she's been designing whimsical kid's clothing ever since.
Besides the adorable coats, I also love Little Goodall's bunny hats. They would make a really fun, unique gift for your kids' Easter baskets, don't you think?

Blog posts have been extra slow around here the last few weeks, and for good reason. I'm slow-moving in general right now, because I'm officially full term! Woohoo! When we found out I was pregnant again, getting to full term was my goal, and I was mostly nervous about getting preeclampsia before then. I didn't think about the birth itself very much, because I didn't want to jinx myself. Now that I'm at 37 weeks (!!!!), I'm no longer nervous about preeclampsia, and instead I'm starting to think about all the normal pregnant-lady concerns...like labor, tearing (please no!), impending sleep deprivation, and OMG I'm going to have a newborn again!!!
Thankfully, Ben is taking a month off when the baby is born, so I'll have his support and help. It's going to be so nice to have some time together as a family! And I hope that having both of us around will help Ian to adjust to the new baby without getting too jealous. I'm definitely nervous about that...he's in a hair-pulling stage.
I had my baby shower two weekends ago (look how cute it was! my sister-in-law made it brunch themed). I got a bunch of adorable baby outfits as well as practical things like diapers, nursing pads, and Amazon gift cards (thanks friends!!!!). Since then, I've been working on getting the baby's room organized...folding and sorting all the newborn clothes and pulling out the baby gear. It's getting me so excited to meet this lil guy!
Honestly, this might be one of the last times in this pregnancy where I actually make an effort to dress cute. I'm feeling absolutely huge and uncomfortable, and I'm unmotivated to wear anything but sweats and old t-shirts all day, errday. I'm also experiencing some FUN pregnancy side effects that I never got last time...such as numb, tingly fingers when I wake up in the morning, sudden hot flashes, and all day heartburn. My feet are starting to swell too, and they hurt so bad by the end of the day. But I hear all those things are normal, so I will stop complaining...it's gonna be worth it!
This outfit is from Pink Blush Maternity. They are one of my favorite sources for cute, comfy, and affordable maternity clothes...like this lace dress! For the first two trimesters, I could get away with wearing regular clothes that were loose or stretchy, but at this point, ain't nothing fitting over my belly unless it's LEGIT maternity.
I'm trying to think if I have any other pregnancy-related updates. Since the baby is head down and everything has been going well so far, I've been given the okay to attempt a VBAC. So that's the plan! I'm really nervous for the birth, probably more than most second-time moms. I was induced with Ian and I started having contractions, but his heart rate dropped pretty quickly after that so I never got to the point of pushing. So it's gonna be ALL NEW! Scary!!!!!!!!
At this point, I'm just trying to get as much rest as possible and have given up on doing anything beyond the bare minimum (it's a win if I get dinner on the table, even if the house is a giant mess and I'm still in the clothes I wore the night before). I can't believe it's already March!!! The baby's due date is March 25th, so he could come any day now!
We have one more ultrasound next week, and I'm super curious how big he'll be measuring (although I've heard those ultrasound measurements can be totally off). Any guesses on what day this baby will arrive, and what he'll weigh?
