15 Fabulous Free Fonts

The other day I had a reader ask me where I get all my fonts (I admit, I do have a lot). I've bought a few, but actually most of my favorites are ones I downloaded for free, or came with my computer. If you're anything like me, you love free stuff, so I thought I'd share their names so you too can expand your font collection without spending a dime. Here they are--fifteen fabulous free fonts!

15 fabulous free fonts | At Home in Love

1. Dawning of a New Day // 2. Bebas: With clean, modern fonts like this one or Futura medium, I often increase the tracking (the space between the letters) // 3. Janda Stylish Script // 4. Frontage Outline: The rest of this font is not free, but you can get the outline version by "paying" with a tweet or a facebook post. // 5. Sail // 6. Futura Medium: This came with my computer. If you have it on yours, you should definitely use it--it's my go-to! Simple without being boring, it looks good with just about anything. // 7. Fontleroy Brown // 8. Brannboll // 9. Pea Matt & Kari: There are tons of fun handwriting fonts at this site--you can even submit your own handwriting! I have several of their fonts; this is one of my favorites, probably because it's pretty similar to my handwriting. // 10. Agent C // 11. Prophecy Script // 12. Quicksand: I recently started using this font a lot and I love it! The "Q" on it is especially cute. It's the font I used for this post. // 13. Didot: This also came with my computer, so if yours doesn't have it I'm sorry! It's pretty in regular, bold, or italic. // 14. Impact Label: This is fun novelty font, that looks like old Dymo labels. I haven't used it in any posts, but I think it would be cute for scrapbooking or card-making. // 15. Arsenale White

Do you have any favorite fonts, free or otherwise? Leave their name(s) in the comments so we can all check them out!

P.S. I've written some new font posts since this one--check them out here and here.

July Instagrams

Can you guys believe it's already August?! Summer is going by way too fast! Usually, by the end of a season I'm ready and excited for the next...but not this summer. I am loving the sunshine, beautiful weather, and outdoor adventures that are so fleeting in Seattle. I love that it's light outside when I wake up in the morning and when I get off work in the evening. And I'm not ready at all for the inevitable rain and cold around the corner. So I want to hang on to this summer as long as possible! Here are some of my Instagrams from July. I'm planning to fill August with lots of fun summer activities and enjoy the rest of this summer to the fullest!

July Instagrams | At Home in Love

Some of the things I enjoyed this month: A fourth of July parade / A red, white, and blue naked cake / Punching circles out of paint chips (budget-friendly!) / Peach soda and my matching outfit / Making onesies at my friend Jenn's baby shower / White chocolate confetti popcorn / All the onesies in a row (and my living room mantel) / Farmer's market flowers in a tin can

July Instagrams

The ferry in Edmonds / Ben and I / Flowers and lemons in latte bowls / My brown & black sandals / A darling studio for rent that had me dreaming / Red Lobster style biscuits (yum!) / We went blueberry picking / I won a giveaway for a bunch of cute picnic supplies

July Instagrams

Ice cream sandwich / A cute Mexican restaurant in Spokane / The venue where my friend Sarah got married / Ben and I at her wedding / A parting shot as the festivities were wrapping up / Ben on our new paddleboard (so fun!) / Burger and fries at a local Edmonds restaurant / A yummy brown butter shortbread cookie from Macina Bakery

How was your month of July? Are you excited for fall or hoping to hang onto summer as long as possible?

I hope you all have a fun weekend too! Oh, and if you'd like to follow me on Instagram, I'm @athomeinlove.

Three Years Ago

Three years ago on this day, I married my best friend. I had dreamed about my wedding and prayed for my husband my whole life, and it was such a wonderful feeling to have it all become a reality. Marrying Ben was a decision that I've never regretted, and a day that makes me smile whenever I look back on it. I can truly say that every year Ben and I spend together it gets sweeter and our love grows stronger. It seems crazy that we've now been married for three whole years (although I know one day I'll laugh that I thought that was a long time). Since it's our anniversary today, I thought it would be fitting to share a few photos from our wedding. It has been featured on several blogs and even a few magazines, so I tried to pick some photos that haven't made it online yet. Hope you enjoy! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a comment and I'll be sure to answer them. Ben, I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you and I love you so, so much...happy anniversary :)

My wedding dress | At Home in Love

Our wedding was planned on a pretty small budget, seeing as how we had both just graduated from college. We got creative with pretty much every aspect of the wedding, from my dress (which I designed and ordered from a company in China...scary, I know) to the food (barbecue, made the day of by family & friends) to the decor (thrifted and DIY). I had a lot of fun scouting and collecting all the different pieces to bring our day together.

Yes, I cried when I walked down the aisle. It was inevitable...

Ceremony in front of a tree

Our ceremony site was super simple, just a moss covered tree that we stood in front of. I had always dreamed of getting married outdoors, so (living in a city where it rains a lot) we picked July 31st because it's historically the sunniest day in Seattle. Lo and behold, on our wedding day it started sprinkling in the morning. I was worried, but it never turned to full-on rain, and it actually made the day a really pleasant temperature. I've heard clouds are good for photos too!

Bouquets

My bridesmaids and I made our bouquets the day before the wedding. I still really love the way they looked! I posted a photo of mine here too.

We had croquet on the lawn for guests to play after the wedding. It also made for some fun photo ops! Ben thinks the guys look a bit constipated in the photo below, though.

Cookies in drawers

We put homemade cookies and old-fashioned donuts in drawers (I lined them with kraft paper first).

DIY cake topper made with doll pins, wooden beads, paint, and fabric scraps

I made the cake topper using doll pins, wooden beads, fabric scraps, and paint.

Stack books for centerpieces

I thrifted all the books for the centerpieces, as well as the mason jars. The paper pinwheels were made from sheet music, book pages, and colored paper...I just accordion folded a bunch of strips while we were on a road trip to and from California, then I glued them in place and used buttons to hold them together!

Paper pinwheel boutonniere

I used those paper pinwheels for the guys' boutonnieres too. It worked out great, because I could make them in advance and not worry about flowers dying, etc. Plus obviously, paper is cheap!
