Thanks to Micro Cotton for sending me these towels to review. All opinions are my own.
Happy Friday, and happy first day of fall! It definitely feels like the season has shifted here in Spokane. We've been fully enjoying taking walks in the cool, crisp air, eating warm soups and toasty bread, watching shows while it rains outside, and taking long hot baths at night. So ready for this season of "hygge" (that's a fun word to use). I wish we were remodeling our bathrooms this fall and getting a big soaker tub (my dream!), but unfortunately that's probably not gonna happen for awhile. In the meantime, I made our bathroom feel a little more cozy and luxurious by lighting a sandalwood scented candle, adding a vase of fresh eucalyptus, and getting some plush new towels.
Ok, these towels! They are the Hotel Collection Ultimate Micro Cotton towels from Macy's, and they are not your average bath towel. They're super soft, extra-absorbent, and they make you feel like you're at a fancy hotel. They're definitely not cheap (they retail at $78 for a set), but they're majorly on sale right now so it's a great time to stock up. AND I get to give some away!
The Hotel Collection comes in classic neutrals, soft pastels, and rich jewel tones that are perfect for fall. I have the "pine" color above, which is a beautiful deep green...and I also snagged some white ones since you can never go wrong with white towels. The winner will get one set (a bath towel, hand towel, and washcloth) in the color of their choice.
To enter, leave a comment on this blog post and tell me how you're updating your home this fall! I'd love to hear about your projects, whether they're big exciting remodels or small cozy changes. This giveaway is only open to US residents and closes on 9/29. I'll announce the winner on 9/30!
UPDATE: This giveaway is now closed. The winner is Latanya!
Oh! I would love to get new towels, since I was planning on doing a mini-update of our bathroom this fall! I feel like a new shower curtain and towels would make a big difference (or at least make it perkier during the dark and rainy season). :D
Totally agree! Little luxuries can make it feel like you have a whole new room.
I'm planning to add some cozy throws and fall scented candles to our house for this season!
Very intentionally NOT updating in preparation to hopefully (Seattle fingers crossed!) buy this winter. I'd love to start fresh with beautiful new towels though while I'm saving all our pennies!
Oooh that's so exciting! BEST OF LUCK!
Going to figure out and perhaps purchase some bins and organizers to store all my stuff. My apt and its closets are quite limited in storage space. I hate clutter, so my goal is to minimize stuff being stored in visible areas.
Currently saving pennies like mad on for the last $10,000 of student loan debt and a down payment--so my most recent update has been covering our many Amazon prime boxes in fabric in lieu of buying bins from Target or IKEA. Basically free, but makes the baby toy mess much cuter! Oh, and updating pictures in my frames, such a small change that makes a big difference!
That's awesome! You can do it, so close! I love small changes that make a big difference, especially when you're focusing your finances on other goals and don't want to spend money on decorating. Smart! :)
Im adding some art to my walls and recycling my old furnishings!
I'm adding some fall decor because my husband loves stuff like that!
Ever since I moved into a 1 bedroom apartment I seemed to have accumulated more stuff than when I lived in a studio. This fall I am focusing on organizing. First - papers I can't throw out with a new desk with file cabinet. Second - getting a display cabinet or bookcase to show case gifts from friends from abroad as well as souvenirs of my own from a recent trip to Bulgaria. Finally - getting my bathroom in order by coming up with new storage solutions for all of my toiletries in the shower and on the counter. So new towels would work great with reorganizing my bathroom! :)
Love all these projects! Fall is a great season for organizing.
Getting new towels will immediately brighten up our bathrooms. We need to get rid of so many old towels! Plan to do a deep cleaning to all our bathrooms after sending our daughter to college; that will add new look to the bathrooms too.
Our very old home is always a work in progress! Recently we added an extra media/hang out space for the kids and their friends. As part of that project we painted over the old wood paneling, added a comfy chair and some garden lights for warmth. Still looking for some art/decor for the walls so the project continues!
Aww that sounds very cozy! I'm excited to see it!
Going to be painting the bricks, door, and shutters as soon as it gets cooler. i'm also going to update the door handle/lock, doorbell, and light. After that I'll move into the living room and update with fall accessories.
My daughter and i usually start gathering fall leaves, acorns and other things from our walks to decorate with.
Thank you so much for offering such a wonderful giveaway. I actually started my fall decorating in August. Haha! I love fall so much and just couldn't wait any longer. I started putting out cider scented candles, changed the pillows and throws, and unboxed all my favorite glass pumpkins.
Haha, I love it! Fall is one of my favorite seasons to decorate for, so I'm all for starting early. :)
I'm buying new fall inspired essential oils to put in my diffuser. And I'm getting rid of a lot of stuff to make life simpler.
I am updating both my master bedroom and bathroom with new sheets and towels.
Oh you know, the whole basement remodel ;) But I love adding cozy touches to our main living area... new mantel pieces, blankets and all the rich smells!
Love fall and this is our first in our new home. I am using some fall branches and acorns (not real) in a vase and stacking some pumpkins!
We grew our own pumpkins this year!
Woo! That's so awesome, congrats!
I like changing our throw pillows for the seasons.
I am adding a new wreath, two new topiaries, and fall pillow covers.
I am actually doing a lot! Repainting and redecorating. We are also hanging tons of wedding pics around the house (we're newlyweds!)
I'm continuing to slowly but surely decorate my new home!
I'm incorporating as much greenery into my home as possible. Be it green accents, eucalyptus (smells so great) or found branches--I'm bringing as much of the outdoors in as the seasons transition :)
My favorite way to update the house seasonally! I've been loving eucalyptus this fall too. :)
I am in the process of updating all of our curtains with bright fun prints!
We are re-doing our dining room with new paint and decor!
