Happy Monday, friends! I wanted to start this week (and this month) with a cheery house tour that I found on Apartment Therapy. It’s the home of Gigi Eligoloff, editor of Gransnet…and it’s full of candy-colored details, vintage pieces, and quirky touches.
I am totally obsessed with Gigi’s Rangemaster stove. It’s so chic against with that simple subway tile. The floor in their kitchen is pretty great too…and of course, I love the open shelving!
I also really like how she painted the rungs of those barstools mint green.
And she has a pink sofa!!
It looks like she took that same mint green paint from the chair rungs and added it to other pieces of furniture throughout the house. I really like how she painted the doors and drawer on this table, but left the rest of it wood. It’s a nice contrast! And having that consistent pop of color helps to tie all the rooms together.
What did you think of this house tour? Did you see it on Apartment Therapy the other day? If not, be sure to check out the full tour and read more about Gigi’s candy-colored cottage in the article here.

Candy Colored! Love all the fun things she's done. My favorite is that floral painting above the mint green cupboard on that lovely pink wall. Yumm! Also that yellow painting by that great big cabinet with the accessories and mint lamp shade. also yummy ;).
Yes! I love, love, love all the mint.
This is too adorable! Reminds me of a dollhouse :) I don't know that my husband would necessarily want a candy-colored home, but I have a feeling I would absolutely love living there!
I know!! It could totally be a dollhouse. So adorable. I think my husband would definitely nix the pink sofa...but I'd love it!
I LOVE all of the colorful pastels. I'm a color lover and I'm really into the shabby chic style but since I live with my boyfriend I try to keep it less colorful so it doesn't seem to feminine. Any tips on how to make my style more gender neutral?
Hi Meg! I feel your pain. My style is really feminine, and my husband is really good about letting me do what I want most of the time. But I still want our place to feel like him too, and not just me. I wrote a post about decorating as a couple here: http://www.athomeinlove.com/decorating-as-a-couple/
Mostly I would say to keep the big pieces neutral and add your shabby chic goodness with accessories. That way it’s not too overpowering!
oh gosh i love this-- but it would never fly with the husband's aesthetic!
Hehe, that seems to be the common theme :)
Oh my gosh, it's lovely! The white subway tile in the kitchen is so gorgeous. <3
Yes! I love white subway tile. So perfectly simple.
