Thanks to Howard Elliott for partnering with me on this post. All opinions are my own.
Now that it's officially spring (hooray!), I wanted to make a few changes in our house to mark the change in season. So I gave our bedroom a little update. I bought some ranunculus, got new linen bedding, and we finally hung a mirror above our dresser! It took me awhile to decide what style of mirror I wanted here, so this wall has been blank for months. I think this mirror was worth the wait though...it's a beaut! I'm sharing a few photos below, plus I rounded up some beautiful mirrors for every room and style.
Round up: 16 Great Mirrors for Every Room & Style
1. Venetian mirrors - I've been loving Venetian style mirrors lately...they're beautifully detailed, but still work well with modern decor. We picked out the Messina mirror for above our dresser, but I also love the more ornate Regina mirror.
2. Round mirrors - Round mirrors are modern and simple, and work in a variety of rooms. The Simone mirror is a gorgeous basic style, while the Intrepid mirror makes more of a statement. I would hang either of these in an entryway, like we did in ours!
3. Rounded rectangle mirrors - We're thinking of doing a "phase one" bathroom remodel soon, and the Marcello mirror is exactly what I want for above the vanity. I also like this similar option, which has a thinner metal frame. Inspiration photo via House Beautiful.
4. Contemporary mirrors - I also love mirrors in unique, contemporary shapes. More unexpected than your classic circle or rectangle, this style would also be cool in the bathroom or grouped together to form a gallery wall of mirrors. Check out the Delmar Mirror and the Tobias mirror. Inspiration photo via Milk Decoration.
5. Arched mirrors - Last but not least, arched mirrors are one of my favorite styles. They're perfect for above a mantel and work really well for leaning against the wall. We have one that's similar to the Sterling mirror (which I love!) and I'm also really into arched windowpane mirrors like the this one.
Here are all ten mirrors I mentioned in one graphic! Which mirror (or which style) is your favorite?
Mirrors are awesome; they instantly add style, bounce light around, and make the room feel bigger. Plus, practically speaking, it's been nice to have a place in our bedroom where I can check my hair and outfit for the day...not that I'm putting in much effort at this point. Being 39 and a half weeks pregnant means lots of messy buns, no makeup, and stealing Ben's hoodies! Hence why I avoided showing my reflection in all the pictures at the top. ;)
Indeed, mirrors are a great decoration option to beautify any room. I really like all your ideas and tips. Keep it up!
